News Update:
Mom Survives Surgery.

A New Hip at 84.

She doesn’t remember any of it.

The bolts of lightning flashed dramatically horizontally across the sky this evening! Such weather drama is normal in some places, like Birmingham, Alabama for instance where my twins were born or in Stockholm where we lived for a year. But in San Francisco? NO!!!  Shocking!! After a day of stifling heat and no wind. So unusual for San Francisco. Things are definitely changing atmospherically speaking. Florida is getting ripped apart and the earth moved in Mexico… And besides all of that, my mom got a new hip!

A new hip! Surgery was less than an hour. She had to walk the next day. The incision is three inches…The new bone is Titanium no less!  Amazing! Her old bone had decayed with arthritis… it was splintery… good riddance.

Amazing things are happening all around us. Too often we don’t even take the time to realize the awesomeness of it all.

Today is a day marked by a dark history in the USA… 9/11.

With everything that is going on… today is a day to take time and appreciate what we have and to give thanks for that. Gratitude is an awesome attitude. Be thankful for what you have. Every day. I am thankful that everything went well for my mom.

I am thankful for you, too, my readers. Thank you for all of the support you have given me and for sharing your stories with me. And for coming back each week to see what is going on here.

Have a great week!
